I was watching a mogal competition a few years with a couple of the ski patrol when one of the young US Skiers went over a jump. The toepiece of his ski blew off his ski and the result was that was doing contortions like a cat does when thrown into the air and trying to land on it paws (no I haven't done this to cats...it's a figure of expression).

Anyway, he was quite high in the air and augured in real hard into the slope. OUCH!

Anyway, one of the patrollers and I ran over to check he was okay. We checked him for concussion, checked his pupils for dilation and asked him the usual dumb questions we ask for someone who has taken a knock to the head.

He seemed to be okay - nothing seemed broken and he was fairly lucid. He sat up and then there was the terrible and dire smell...

'Goddamn, what the hell is that smell...' I asked...

'Oh man, I can believe it... I @#$% my pants...'

:apuke:

And remember ski pants are pretty waterproof too - oh I can only imagine what that long walk down to the lodge (as his ski was broke) must have been like...
