what needs replaced on a 95 grand am when you go to bleed the rear brakes and no fluid comes out and plus since i bought the car the brake light has been on my grandpa knows alot about cars nd he says it could be the master cylinder im not doubting him but i think one of u guys could have seen this before so i figured id ask. thanks

Yes it could be your master cylinder, it also could be other things as well such as a pinched or clogged brake line. How do your brakes feel. Do they give out on occasion all together so your pedal hits the floor? Or is it just fluid that's not coming out of the rear brakes?

yea thanks for the help slick smart a** but to grf uh my brake pedal has never went to the floor. But when i went to bleed them no fluid came out even when i took the bleeder all the way off and had someone step on the brake. if it is the master cylinder could i just find a grand am of the same year and just swap or what? thanks

Please Watch the name calling(flaming) thats not acceptable here at all !

Check your break lines, thiers either a hole in them or a pinched line or clog as grfnkl said. If you cant find any thing then you'll need a vacum pump to try and suck whatever out of the line. cause thier should be fluid coming out, thats for sure.
Also Might need to take it to someone who knows breaks.
