1995 Odyssey Ignition switch dead spot

When I advance the ignition switch to the "on" position, no electrical feedback is available. When I turn the key to the "start" position, the engine will start but will die as soon as I allow the key to "spring" back to the "on" postion. I can start the engine and allow it to spring back to the point the starter retracts, but hold it from going completely back to the "on" postion and the engine will run with all electrical lights functioning. As soon as I allow it to go completely back the engine dies and all electrical engine lights go out. Also, there are no window funcations at that postion either, when there is usually that ability.

Short of a ignition switch teardown and an electrical schematic, I cannot determine which relay may need to be diagnosed. There are several possible relays that are in the cabin and engine compartment locations that could be related. I am referring to the listings of the engine and cabin locations at:

I appreciate any suggestions/recommendations for relay diagnostics. Thanks.

Re: 1995 Odyssey Ignition switch dead spot

I replaced the ignition switch first and it resolved the problem.
