May buy 97 LeSabre: will they go 150k to 250k miles?
We have a 96 Park Avenue Ultra and are considering buying a 97 LeSabre we found with 98k miles.
It seems to be in excellent condition and is priced at $2800. Could we reasonable expect this car to last to 150k miles? 250K? We always keep our cars oil changed and well lub'd. What problems should we expect with a 97 LaSabre? Thanks for any info. Mel |

Re: May buy 97 LeSabre: will they go 150k to 250k miles?
The 3800 is a great motor. I ran my last one up to 280,000. I never hesitated to take it on a long trip. If you can get good miles out of your cars you have had in the past, you should have no problems getting 200,000 or more with the buick, along with routine maintance and changing parts as they fail.

I have a 1997 with 150,000. Still running very nice. No unusual problems. I tend to run mine pretty hard.

The engine should be able to go to 200K fairly easy, but you will likely have to do some repairs. You will probably start to possibly have problems with: the transmission, crank sensor, cam sensor, cam sensor magnet, ignition module, intake manifold, and window motors. But it could go with no problems at all.
