Re: big block head identification

yea thanks for the link but i was unable to find the number on the site looking in the big block heads and on the 409 page. do u have another link to try, or does anyone else have another site to look at???? i really want to know what these are, i don't know whether to be sad or very happy with them and I'm sure by not being able to find the number for them it going to lead to one of those two things....

How about a picture?

How do you know that they are big block (Mark IV), 409, or even Chevrolet heads?

Re: big block head identification

One thing for sure if the heads look like a W then they are 409 or 348. If not clean the numbers on both again and recheck the casting and let us know the dates. it will help get a better idea of what they are. There is a 409 that is 3819333 for 62-65 a lot of time a 3 is an 8 and a 6 is a 8 and so on. Let us know.
