Question 1984 Doge ram B250 ignition problems

I have a 1984 Dodge ram van B250 and it will not turn the starter when I turn the key. I tested the igniton wire to the starter relay when turning the key and there was power. So what could be the problem. I have put in a new starter.I believe I could have shorted a wire while hooking up the radio because I accidently touch the ignition wire and the battery(direct hooked up) wire together. Before this happened the van would start with no problem. What is the problem?
What part could I have shorted out?

You could've blown a fusible link when you shorted the ignition wire.

The fusible links are tucked up behind the brake master cylinder booster and usually are identified with some sort of plastic molded tag on them.
