dang hood

ok guys, i really hate the stock hood on my car. i dont want cf or anything special, i just want a normal hood (ours has that gay ass bump in the hood, looks like the car has a wart or something). so anybody know where i can get 1?

im also taking off the rear spoiler, is it gonna leave some nasty ass holes in the trunk?

i just relized i posted this in the wrong sub-forum, can a mod plz move it. thanks

I'm 99% sure they don't make our hood in a "hump-less" model. You could go with CF and paint it?

damn that sucks, i guess i could get a cf, no big deal. as for the spoiler, i guess ill just wait until i get my car painted have them bondo the holes or something.

You have the low spoiler to so you will have holes in your rear quarter panels also.

yeh, i know but hey, wat r ya gonna do. hopefully ill be getting this apprenticeship at this shop and they will do it for free since im not getting paid.

Actually they make a CF version of our hood without the bump. I've seen them numerous times. You can just always paint it. I like the bump, makes it unique.

EDIT: Oh, and try Captain Morgan Tattoo Rum... with Coke of course. I got plastered on Friday by this stuff and went into work Saturday morning still drunk. Hang over till about 11pm or so. Man it killed.

These are the sort of threads I'm talking about that goes waaay OT... We went from hoods to alcohol so fast it wasn't even funny...

They do make a bumpless hood, but in order to do that it raises the whole heights of the hood a bit to match the height of the bump so it will still clear the timing belt cover... Wait a minute... Nevermind on a n/t... The motors flipped... Now that really doesn't make sense to why they leave the bump on n/t models... Or why it isn't even on the other side for that matter... 420a must be slightly shorter all together...

Anyways... If I was gonna spend money on a new hood to just get rid of the bump, I would at least get a CF one. Even if you don't like the looks, either way your still gonna have to paint it and it'll be that much less weight on the car and it will look so much cooler with an Invader hood...

Oh yeah, I also changed the title of the thread from "Damn hood" to "Dang hood"... Please refrain from using such words in thread titles...

yeh, i noticed the change it the title, i was laughing for like five minutes. anyway it cool i dont care. oh, and about the hood, i guess your right, cf would be a better idea, cause it is gonna get painted anyway.

That bump in the hood is legendary. It's one of the most distinct things that differentiates these cars from others on the road. No hatin' on the bump yo

Cheaper to manufacture one style of hood and put it on all models if possible...
