Whats the mpg on these things?

Hello guys my first post, hope you can help me out!

I'm going to be buying a Primera (probably the p11) in the UK in the next couple of weeks.
i've got about £3-3.5k to spend (they finally let me have a loan at the bank!)
Now money dictates i should get a 1.6i as cheaper to insure, tax ect. But my heart is set on getting the 2.0i GT so i was wondering if any of you have a rough idea of the miles per gallon these things get?
hopefully the GT isn't too thirsty then i can treat myself
