Knock sensor

93 transport 3.8.
My check engine light is on and code 43 was flashed. Has something to do with the knock sensor. I thought it was on the side of the engine in front but I dont see anything there. The engine is sluggish when the temperature gets up to operating temperature. its like the brakes are on a bit when I decelerate and also starts to stumble a bit.
Any one know where this sensor is?

Getting real tired of this vehicle, think I will pick me up an old 85 Ford Tempo. had better luck with that. If that doesnt work I am going to sell my house and buy an old motor home and just sit their as I wont be able afford the gas.

Re: Knock sensor

Code 43 sets the computer in default mode and retards timing...hence no power. www.avigex.ca/xport/dtc43.jpg

Check wiring first. KNock sensor is just where you do not want it to be: rear right hand side of engine, a few inches to the right of the O2 sensor..
