Won't start, fuseable link???
I was hooking up my underbody neons today and I wired the ground under the plastic next to the emergency brake and the power to the lumbar support power in the seat, when I went to start the car nothing happened. I can put the key in and get the ding, turn the key and sometimes get everything lit up, but as soon as I push the key to turn it over, nothing....There's gas in the car, the battery has a very good charge and the alt is only about 1yr old, checked all the fuses from inside the car to under the hood. The only thing I can think is a fuseable link that would possibly go to the starter, What do you think? It's a 2000 GTP

Re: Won't start, fuseable link???
Welcome to AF!!
I would check the fusable links at the starter. If everything is ok then unwire the neons and see if the car will start. You may have a short that is not allowing the ignition to work properly especially if that is all the mods you did before the starting issue began. |

I had a problem similar to yours, but with no mods. Don't count out the possibility that this could be a coincidence. Check this thread http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...30#post4712030 If you want to test the starter, run a wire from the Purple wire on the starter, turn the car to on, and touch the wire to the + on the battery. Good Luck opcorn:

Did you unhook the battery while installing the neons? Double check your battery connections if you did, as it sounds like a bad electrical connection to me.
