1st time buying a car

I'm seeing these adds in newspapers that offer vehicles for 2-5k off regular list. (If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is) I anticipate going into a dealership, and being told,"Oh, we had only one in stock, and JUST sold it, but, have a seat and let's talk about another great deal on a different model..." Is it not worth bothering with these adds, or is there somthing I can legally do to get the advertised model and options at the advertised price? I like the idea of not running around to different dealerships haggling and getting hasseled. Thanks

It's called a bait and switch and they do it all the time. There's not really anything you can do about it that I know of...
