#3 and #5 cylinders missing

can anyone help? code came up for #3 and #5 cylinders missing on my 96 3.8. I changed plugs and wires and checked coil pack. it is still missing. thanks

LOL. i thought it went missing.. like the cylinders upped and ran away.

anyway. im guessing you mean mis-firing. checked distributor? im gonna guess on the dist. cap.

or do the 3.8s not have distributors and caps.. blindxeyed will swoop in to rescue you soon nuff.

I believe it is a distributerless system, and 3 and 5 ar on the same coil. If so, switch it out with on e of the other two, chances are, the miss will move and confirm that coil is the culpret.

I changed out the coil and it is still misfiring on #5

You swapped it with one of the others or bought a new one?

Either way since your down to one now, that would say you probably have a problem in the wire or plug itself.
