Re: Head Gasket Quick Fix 1998 Deville
The degree of success depends on many factors, location of leak, severity, engine design and so on, The N'star has had problems with the head bolts pulling the threads out of the block, don't get your hopes up here.

The general consensus is that it will not work. The fix is to drop the engine, pull the heads, timesert the holes, then reinstall the heads with new gaskets.

Throw in some Bars-Leak (about 10 or 12 tablets) and new antifreeze 50/50 mix. It'll be a temporary fix. (depending on how bad the LEAK is.)
