HELP! 2002 Z06 instrument lights/tail lights

I just purchased a 2002 Z06 and tonight realized that my instrument lights only come on until I turn the ignition on. They then go off and I cannot get them to come back even using the dimmer. I also don't have any tail lights unless I hit the unlock button on my remote. Once the key is in the ignition they will not come on with the headlights like they should. Can someone tell me where to start looking???

This is not a cure but I have a 1997 that has had electronic gremlins. I have replaced the ignition switch which solve most of the problems. Dealer disgnosed, reasonable cost but I have a good dealer. Replaced the battery. Also a source of electronic problems. The other trick I have learned is to clear all diagnoistic codes from the car computer using the dash controls. Buys me time and usually makes the problem go away.
