Clutch or Worse

Thats right ladies and gents just on my 2nd day of driver my baby around somthing goes WRONG.

While going to g/f house 20 somhting miles away i had a wierd incident push the gas down revs come flying up with like no power then it came. Well previous to this i had noticed While going down the road i smelt a funny smell somtimes a FUNNY smell. I know the clutch was kinda worn b/c it had to be almost all the way out to get into gear i guess you would say*to get power*. But As i was on my way to my g/f house i got to a stop light and i put the car in 1st and tried to take off nothing again nothing again ok somthin well then alittle down the road turning on the road that connects to her's like no gear had anything thing finally a gear and i see smoke coming out the tail pipes GREAT.... Stop sign just alittle futher pull of try for 2nd nothing 3rd nothing you get the point only this time nothing at all i see some smoke from under the hood. So i cut it off and have her towed via flatbed to her house. So is it the Clutch went out or worse tranny issues. Checked hydrolic fluid its good to go.....

so...you gonna get an after market clutch or just replace with another stock?

Maybe the clutch peddle just needs to be adjusted. There is an adjustment nut under the dash. There should be just under an inch of play in the clutch peddle before it actually effects the clutch.

Who here has had there clutch replaced by someone else if so howmuch i was quoted 310$

310 is a good price for labor. most people and places i know charge 350-375 for labor.

my dads friend whos a mechanic does all my stuff he charged like around 240, cant remember exactly, to put in a new clutch, but im down here in south florida

$310 for an AWD 6 speed isnt bad. Id do it for $200 if you lived closer.

stealthee you have made a trip down here before lol I fig as big of a bitch as its gonna be i'll let him do it for that... he is also gonna put my aftermarket downpipe on instead of putting the stocker back on.
