99 Explorer Drivers Seat Bending Back

I have a 99 explorer with the manual seats and my drivers seat is bending back when I drive, does anyone know if there is any difference in the structure of the leather seats and the cloth seats? Or are there any sturdier seats that will bolt in place of these?

I believe that the seats are all the same structurally especally if you get it out of the same year, all they do it put a leather cover over it instead of cloth.

I'm not sure your definition of "bending back" but you may want to look into the seat recliner recall that was in place for 1998-2001 Explorers with the high back seats, NHTSA Recall Campaign Number 03V281000.

the seats are NOT all the same - there are 2 diff. seat frames both will mount in the vehicle - but when it comes to parts you will need to know what frame you have

I believe there is a recall on that seatback.
