Mitsu Lancer WRC '05 : GiGi Galli Tour de Corse 2005

Hi everybody !!

I started the Mitsu WRC '05 of Gigi Galli in Tour de Corse 2005.

I love this rally car even if it wasn't not the best of them and of course the pilot wich is very spectacular and nice !

So I use the Tamiya kit of the Evo VII WRC, the tk Studio 27 with the front in resin part, photodec and the decal.
But the decal is for the Monte-Carlo rally and in this one, Galli didn't run so I decided to do the Tour de Corse version. I have to use rally plates, new numerous (the 18) and Mobil decals wich replace the Hotwheels decals.

Now it's time to work !!

In the next picture I present the modifications wich are not in the notice but wich are present in reality :

The body with some modifications:

Now the body and all parts are paint. I show to you the photos very soon.

Commantary of tk studio 27 : the front is very beautiful and the decal are very nice !
To do those modifications you need a lot of patience and methodology but it's quite easy.

The next episode very soon

Nice work so far, can't wait to see more. Where did you get the TdC and Rally Aust decals?

It's the decal for Xsara tdc and Australia 2005 made by Renaissance. I just bought this part to do the TdC version

O good car !! I hesitate to buy this version too but it's quite expensive if I want to make all Mitsu Version of Gigi

Yes, it will cost to much to build every single one of them but if you build the Araujo version you got two that look totaly different I think you should build that one too! It looks great

I'd love to have more of them too but as you said they are quite expensive =/

Re: Mitsu Lancer WRC '05 : GiGi Galli Tour de Corse 2005

Well, Mister Loeb_05.

I must congratulate you on this great choice of subject.
The 05 Mitsubishi Lancer is in my to-do pile, so I find it very nice of you that you are showing me (and other builders off course) how you're going to tackle this job.
The start looks very promising indeed, and I'll be watching this thread closely.

I hope you're going to describe all your steps with as much detail as possible.

And I also want to congratulate you on the driver choice. As I'm a bit of Gigi Galli fan, I love seeing cars he has driven being built.
I myself am working on the 307 he drove, and I'll be starting a WIP of that build shortly on this forum.
It's just a shame that one of his main sponsors decided to pull the plug this year. I would have loved to see more of him this year, although the Xsara isn't really competitive anymore.

Anyway, keep up the great work.
I'm looking forward to the next update.

Thank's Axel

I will try to take some pictures of the car this weekend but the real update come more later because I begin to start my exam in 2 weeks so i have to learn a lot. I am making engines studies and i must work for having my diplomas !!

But don't panic, because of summer holidays the project could run more quickly in a month

Regards
