02 S10 Ext Cab Advice

I just purchased an 02' S10 Extended Cab 4cyl.

What advice can you give me from a maintenance/repair perspective?

Re: 02 S10 Ext Cab Advice

A good repair manual or even owners manual may have some info on it.
I always like 3k for oil and filter service.
25K on fuel filter and air filters and look over.
50K on trans filter and brakes coolant service brake fluid flush and check hoses and belts and look over other stuff.
They say plugs will go 100K but I check them before that.
A lot depends on your driving and driving conditions.
Good luck

Re: 02 S10 Ext Cab Advice

Either only one person cared to reply or these vehicles come with a clean bill of health.

Personally, I currently drive a LeSabre and could offer an entire book of recommended maintenance and repairs suggestions.

It's not that the LeSabre is a bad car, it's just that like any other auto, there are some things that need improvement or attention.

Standard maintenance schedules isn't really what I was looking for (although appreciated), I was looking for those things that go wrong or bad on the 02 S10.
