Re: Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is?
Don't know about the '89 model, but my '88 Econoline 250 actually has 2 fuel filters . . . the (now former) husband of a friend replaced the one that had gone bad, and I'm sorry to say I only recall that one was located about midway along the van, don't know where the other one was.

Re: Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is?
My 94 E150 5.8l was located on the driver's side framerail just back from the door. pretty easy to get to but you need special tool to remove the lines. I had a cheapo version and could never get one line off. I spend the $30 and had a shop do it for me.

Re: Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is?
I have an 89 E150 and the fuel filter is located to the rear of the gas tank and is covered on the bottom and two sides by a sheet of metal. The filter is a screw-in type, at least on mine. Hope that helps!
