I have a 1996 silverado and my DRL just quit working. The green light on the dash is still on indicating that they are working but they arent. headlamps work fine when turned on, i have looked for fuses and relays but they seem to be good. Any suggestions?

Re: Daytime Running Lamps Not working
i'm convinced that the drl lights suck. try replacing the bulbs. they are weird cause they will look like good bulbs but not work. also, for the lights to work the truck has to be in the run position in drive. hope this helps, i have the same problem right now.

Re: Daytime Running Lamps Not working
In your '96 the low beam lamps and DRL's are the same. The DRL relay is in the convenience center(behind the park brake) bottom center position. Pull it out and check for 12 volts at the upper right slot. There should be 12 volts there at all times from the DRL/FOG fuse. If power is there change the relay. If not change the DRL diode (203) located in the I/P wiring harness right side of steering column support (2 wires, yellow & orange). Let us know what you find............Steve
