low and mid rpm miss 454 1994 truck

i have a 1994 dually 454 , its got some ignition misses , i put new wires plugs cap and rotar , still does it , i put headers on with flowmasters , i put water on the headers and started it all the water evaporated at the same time , i checked the compression all checked good ,theres no carbon on the egr valve , im putting a new distributer on it tomorrow i dont think thats it but ill try it anyway , any clues ? its got good power , the misses is there at 3000 rpm too , the idle jumps up an down a little at times too, and dies about twice a day when you slow down or stop , help thanks jeff

The pickup coil or wear in the upper dist shaft bushing can cause a low rpm miss/stall with the TBI engines.

The pickup coil signal is converted from an ac signal to a dc signal. This dc signal is used to fire injectors and spark plugs so it is pretty important. If the pickup coil is bad, this signal is lost and a miss occurs.
