Performance Chips

I was talking to a friend and he said he bouht a Performance Chip for his car. he has not got it yet but he did say they workto add a litle preformance to your ride. does anyone know anything about these things??

another thing.... what kind of mods can i do to my car to increase preformance and add hp. i have already added a vortex exhaust which sounds killer and added a little hp.

Vortex Exhaust? Never heard of it.

Exhasut and intake is the usual place to start modding. Then gears, thermostat, and a few other smaller items. Do a search and you'll find all you need.

Most of those performance chips on Ebay don't do much, and your much better off putting your money towards something else. If you want to go the computer route, get something like a Hypertech Programmer, which allows you to custom tune your engine, much better than some guesswork chip.

ok not engine chip but a transmission is what i have a question about, i read on a site that just by adding like 100$ chip to your auto tranny can help with harder shifts, basicly doing valve body work for a cheap cheap price, im thinking to good to be true, head anything on them?
