Tranny jerks when cold.
Hi,
We changed the tranny fluid/filter about a year ago and the tranny still jerks when cold and going from park to reverse or reverse to drive. The mechanic that changed the fluid put some Seafoam in it. I don't know what to do to remedy this problem. Any advice or help is welcome. Thanks, Al P.S. Re: Tranny jerks when cold.
I fixed this about 6 months ago. There is a cable the comes off of the back of the throttle body and goes to the tranny. I disconnected it from the throttle body, sprayed some penetrating fluid down the inside of the cable housing, waited a few minutes and then began to work the cable back and forth with a pair of pliers. It broke free after a few attempts and has been working fine ever since!
