HELP! Who knows about LKM's?

Well, after driving with my bright lights disconnected for over a year, I found a used LKM on the internet. Well, the brights no longer stay on when the car is off. Problem is, they won't come on when the car is running either! All of the other lamps work fine.

What are the chances of this LKM being bad? Can BMW test it? Is there programming that needs to be done on it?

There is a good chance that the LKM is faulty. The LKM controls all exterior lighting functions.
