I went to a garage to have the service engine light removed, they checked the problem and said it may be one of three problems....1) bad cam position sensor or 2) bad crank position sensor or 3) bad ignition module. I just had the ignition key/tumbler replaced. If anyone remembers my last post I thought it was the ign. switch but it wasn't. So now the car starts without any problem but the service engine soon light stays on. Some say the magnets on the cam and crank may be dirty and this is whats causing the problem...........I can't see how because the light never ever came on before. What could be the most probable cause? Thanks in advance.........Ray

Re: 95 Regal 3800 service engine light
My listing does not show those codes, if any of these parts were an issue you would have a no start/no spark at times.

Re: 95 Regal 3800 service engine light
You were right Max,my problem turned out to be wire leading to the anti-knock sensor was bad,so the garage claims. The checked out the crank & cam sensors,ecm,etc...everything was good, I'm wondering why the hand held analizer said it was those parts that MAY be bad...............end result was engine light is off and I paid $120.00. But I'm glad everything is ok. Thanks for your help.....................Ray
