To anyone with a JDM engine

Just wandering where you guys get your specs from? Or if you need a replacement where do you go? Or is anything interchangeable with U.S spec cars?

Thanks
Chad

Engine mounts have to come from Japan, timing belt, oil filter and fuel filter are all interchangable. The ICV is not interchangable, nor is the throttle body or TPS. Gaskets are, as are air-con/power steering/ water pump belts.

Clutch is an issue for me, no one can tell me if the B16A/Y1 combo will use the EG CRX Del Sol/EK/EM VTiR (B16A Hatch/USDM Si Coupe) clutch. Clutch cable for a Y1 is not available through Honda. VSS sender seems to be an issue too.

Water pump - anyone know if this is interchangable with the Del Sol/Si/VTiR B16As.

It seems that the first gen of B16As are slightly different to the later ones.

Whoops - I get parts from New Zealand - Honda Australia won't support a private import. Reference I use the Euro CRX VT VTEC supplement and also a mechanic who worked for Honda in Japan.

As far as the clutch goes- you get an aftermarket one (mine is an exedy) for a 90-91 US integra. I believe the disc has 21 splines. Many other parts can be sourced off the 95 del sol VTEC, 99/00 Si, 92-93 GSR, 94+GSR, and also the ITR i suppose. The only other thing that I can think of that was a pain to get a hold of (couldn't just go to Honda and order it) was the distributor. You cant get it from Honda in the US because there was never a NON-OBD B series VTEC engine. I had to go to a local performance shop and buy one for $200 off of a JDM 1st gen B16.
