Re: 1997 Toyota Camry Cd Player Problem
It's a reading error of the CDs. Check the Cd's for damage. I get it all the time with burned cd's and scratched bought ones.

Re: 1997 Toyota Camry Cd Player Problem
OP,
Sometimes spraying some canned air through the CD slot will fix a read problem. It worked on my Crapillac and my daughter's Mitsu. |

Re: 1997 Toyota Camry Cd Player Problem
I also have a 97 Camry I bought new and is still in fantastic conditon today, BUT, the CD player I bought on eBay a few years ago stopped working after only using it a few times. It is an original Toyota CD player that came out of another 97 Camry. When putting a CD in it sucks it in normally, but then does nothing. After a few minutes of silence it will 'eject' the CD, never having played. I have made sure the CDs are clean with no scratches, and I'm putting them in right-side up, so I know its not a problem with the CDs. I like the factory look of having a Toyota brand player in my dash and prefer not to put an aftermarket brand in, and if there are any tricks anyone knows as to what I could do to get the player working I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
