|
Car runs till out of gas.
Have been working on new wiring harness.
There is only one wire that has no power in off position. I used that wire for fuel pump. what should i do about power staying on and running the Injectors. and ECM. engine runs untill fuel rail is empty.  Please help.

Are there seperate wires from the ignition for the fuel pump and injectors, or do they run off the one wire I found with seperate in line fuses.

Ok If I leave injector wire so its live all the time is this bad.
Also when step on Brake car shuts off.??????????? Engine harness from donor car engine is from 1995 Buick century 3100 SFI . Trying to tie into 1986 Fiero harness. Also using old transmission from Fiero. Can any one help or does anyone know of another thread that may have allready addressed this situation. Thanks

what car is it?
Why are you replacing the ignition switch? Why aren't you using a stock switch? In general, your post scares me

UPDATE..... Working on 1986 Feiro SE V6 Engine Swap. Engine 3100SFI from a 1995 Buick Century. Useing harness from Century. REcheck'd wires. I had the "PINK" Igniton feed from fuse box wired direct to battery. now that we have fixed that every thing seems ok. Will not need "toggle Switches." was just jokeing about that anyway. Ignition now powers and shuts off what it should. The biggest concern I have is with the Fuel pump relay system. If I wire the fuel pump direct to ignition "PINK" useing an inline fuse it will run. but is it not suposed to power down when gets to certain pressure????????? Cant find any Diagrams on fuel relay system. Please help.

in stock form, the fuel pump relay is powered via the engine management computer. The pump runs for a short time when you turn the key on, to initiate some pressure, then turns on and stays on once you crank the engine over and/or the engine starts.
The relay never turns off until you turn the car off. Some very new cars regulate voltage to the fuel pump, but your setup definitely isn't one of them

Now trying to hook up rear wires to tail section. So far have working tail lights, both turn signals and hazards. But the only brake light that comes on is the third brake light. I have 2 wires that power up when brake pedal is depressed (1) White, (1) Light Blue. Have tried different combinations with remaining wires from rear lights but so far no Brake Lights. Any suggestions. or Diagram. Thanks

I found The Fiero lighting system diagram on a site that shows how to wire in Lambo Taillights.
Question now is I Have 3 lines (1) light blue and (2) White that power up when brake pedel is depressed but they dont seem to effect the lights working. Any idea where they should go. They were not mentioned in the diagram.???????
