My Castrol Supra Progress

I got my supplise from HLJ and was able to make some progress on the supra. I polished the thing and there seem to be some slight scratch marks only visible under bright light at an angle. Anyone know if normal car polish will work on tamiya spray paint like that turtle wax, the tamiya stuff doesn't seem to remove them or make much a difference?

Anyway heres the pic, back to where I was a month ago. Might put the decals on tommorrow and paint the window frames and windshield.

BTW the mirror not glued on.

Smile Scratch off.

Get some Tamiya Compound, it works wonders on most all types of paint.

Thats what I was using, is it better to rub with finger or with a cloth? I seen it done using your finger.

Always use a soft cloth to work polish or compound. Use flannel or cotton diapers. I have found you need allot of different polishes depending on paint used. If you have any Motorcycle shops nearby see if they have Simichrome Polish by Happich it is made in Germany. It gets out heavier orange peel without leaving schratches. Use Tamiya polish or wax after use because the Simichrome may not leave as bright a shine without going over it with a finer polish. It also works on clear parts without leaving scratches.

Looking good. The Tom's Supra is one of my favourites from Gran Turismo, and seeing this makes me want to order the kit right now!
