The headlights have been slowing transitioning into a state of "not working". The Brights work, and the head lights sometimes just turn on while I'm driving. But recently they have not worked at all. The bulbs are not burned out, and there are no blown fuses. I'm thinking that the only other option is electical. The interior lights and everything work, so I don't know to what extent that the switch is not working.
If anyone knows anything about what the problem is or have had similar problems, please respond asap. I keed to know what the problem is, what it will take to get it fixed, how long, and how much it will cost. Thanks David Tucson, Arizona |

Re: 1996 318i Headlights not working, HELP
Assuming that the lamps are good, the headlight switch supplies the output to the headlights. The switch is supplied directly from the power distribution box. (fusebox). Of course you need to take the wiring and connectors into account.
