How many SUV's went into the classifed sections last week

I owned my 1996 Chevy Blazer 4x4 now for over 11 years. Last week
I read that gasoline will be over $4.00 dollars a gallon by the summer.
I don't plan to drive that much this year. I will sell the truck and buy
a car with a better mpg performance. it sickens me that the huge gas
companies hike gasoline up and the politicians take the safer cleaner
planet conservation while they stick their hands out for a payoff...

I remember when gasoline was .93 cents a gallon the week I purchase
my brand new truck in January 1996.. Its almost $2.90 cents where I
live now..

Sucks you gotta ditch a good SUV. Even though gas prices don't really bother me, I'll probably take the same road you are in the next few months for a Subie wagon or something similar. After all, I only got my Blazer for cargo room and 4x4 and it's not like i tow a trailer or anything.

As for gas goin' up, yeah, its nonsense. But it is a business and a huge necessity for most so people buy it regardless of price (so far anyway) so what can ya do?

Where I live gas is 1.30 euros per litre; that makes 6.70 dollars per gallon. And I'm still driving a Blazer...

Rite now in Chicago, Regular gasoline is $3.45 a Gallon....
I'm keeping my Blazer for a while. I just can't justify spending $30,000 on a new car just to get an extra 5 more miles to the gallon...

Ah, the good old days.

When I started driving, gas wars had the local price at $0.19.9/gallon.
My 1962 pontiac could be filled up for $4.50.

Today, $3.27 for regular, and the wholesale price went down 5 days in a row, while the retail price went up every day.?????

The 'don't buy gas on May 15 theory didn't work in Michigan'. Up to $3.49 on the west side of the state.

Re: How many SUV's went into the classifed sections last week

Someone here is close to my age. I remember when I could have $5.00 in my pocket, drive to town, put in a $1.00 worth of gas. Go pick my girlfriend up, go to the movie, buy refreshments and still have a bit of money left when I got home.

Those days are gone forever.

Gas price at our local Wal-Mart yesterday, $2.99.9.

Here while back I put $47.00 of gas in my Blazer.

I remember one time when I 1st bought my Blazer I pulled into a station and put 19. something gallons in it and it was not even $20.00 and I though that was outrageous.
