front speakers stopped working

for the past 6 months ive just been using my back two speakers because the front speakers stopped working. a while ago when they first started going bad the front left speaker would just stop working then i would hit the side of the cd player and it would start working again. but after a while i would have to hit harder and harder for it to start working again. the connection to the speaker is fine, but i think the problem lies with the wiring harness or more than likely something wrong with the actual cd player. once i get the money im gonna get a new cd player, but before i invest in that does anyone know if it could just be bad wiring or something like that?

sounds like an internal problem in the CD player
