Primer to use?
Which would you recommend? I can easily get Humbrol Primer which will have to be brush painted, is there a type of spray-primer I can get my hands on thats not too expensive?

I`m not sure what`s in New Zealand, but I picked up a can of Plasti-Kote primer for about $4.00 at Pep Boys and Advance Auto. I have a can of gray for darker colors and white for brighter colors. It goes on great, and you can spray almost any enamel/laquer over top of it without a problem. You can do atleast several cars with just one can.

If they sell Krylon in your area, look for Krylon General White Primer, a big 12oz can will last you a long time.

Really? I've generally gotten smooth, albeit thick, coats. I consider it good enough to use on parts, but I always use a higher grade primer on my bodies, like Tamiya primer, or Mr. Surfacer 1000.
