Passlock

My 2000 wouldnt start tonight. All lights and whatnot, just no turnover. It did this to me a a few months ago. The security light has been on periodically. What is the exact part I need to get to fix this?

I am having the same problem. Just spent $400 on a new starter (among other work) and now I'm convinced this wasn't the problem to begin with because my car is not starting again. The security light is on (last day and a half) and car will not start. I know it's a passlock problem. Did you ever figure anything out??

No I havent fixed this, it has only happened once since. Last time I got frustrated and held the key in the start position hoping something would happen. After 25 continuous seconds it fired up. That was a few months ago.
