engine help

I want to do something to my sohc engine. The thing is I'm not that knowledgeable on it so I just want to do simple upgrades. What would you suggest? I've heard of cam sprockets and stuff but what doesn't take a lot of knowledge to install? Also please tell me what each thing does as well, thanks.

the easiest thinggs are..

a full tune up..__===
spark plugs..
wires..
cap rotor..

and then a CAI....cold air intake...you can buy one at a over priced store or buy a K&N cone filter and make your own tube...theres a site showing how to ill have to look for it..

upgrade your injectors..
cam..
exhaust....do a cat back or header back with like 2.25 or so
header...

im not sure on what your car is like since mine is 10 years older and not fuelinjected..

cam sprockets make it so you can adjust the cam timing advance or retard.

get a header, they are not that hard to install. you can also get a msd and like a blaste coil. also you can do a tune up like dutch boy said, buy some denso iridium plugs, some accel or msd wires, get a external msd coil cap so you can run the blaster coil. all these would be easier than installing a cam gear because to install a cam gear you gotta take off the timing belt and that not that hard but if you never done it before then its gonna be hard.
