4 cylinder sleeper

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum and I was wondering if you would helo me out. Im planning my first custom car and am looking at a base price range of arround 5-7k for the body and new engine. Currently im looking at several small older (80-90's) cars that are arround 1-3k and dropping in either a brand new H-4 or I-4 engine. Obvoiusly size of the car determines what engine I want to put in. I need your help on what specific cars to look into while keeping in mind that they need to fit a relatively large 4 cyc. engine. I really like the subaru imprezza engine but thats probably a bit pricy. Ok thanks for your time!-Tristan
