Crossover install?
Hey Im trying to put a crossover into my system that i have now...I hooked power, ground and remote up (duh). My buddy told me to plug the RCAs from my head unit into the sub input on my xover and from the sub out port to the amp...Well i tried this, got power, but no sound...any ideas on what it could be? I dont think the RCAs are in the right places but i am not sure where to hook them up...Then somehow trying to hook it up I blew the 50 amp fuse in my 4 gauge power wire...luckily circuit city is nice and gave me a free one..So I dont know where to put the RCAs.. That is my only problem THanks alot for your help!
If you were wondering...the xover is a Audiobahn AX206X, and the amp is the GP1100.2, in my signature Last edited by 91S10; 04-29-2007 at 05:25 PM. |

Re: Crossover install?
Sounds right to me. Sure the Xover is good? Does the Xover have a level control too? Was it all the way down?

Re: Crossover install?
Actually it was hooked up wrong. i went to another forum and got an answer that day....It was supposed to go into my sub in port from my HU and the output was the high-pass port to my amp...
It sounds really good i just have to get the settings on the amp right now...My bass knob is down and my bass on my head unit is at -3 and it sounds as loud as it was when i had it all the way up w/o the xover. |
