Question V6 (1994 Cavalier)

Did all 1994 Cavaliers have a V6 or was it only a certain one?? If not what did they have?

Z's have fog lights and side skirts....if you can't pop the hood, look inside and look for the tach... tach=z24...

Re: V6 (1994 Cavalier)

Errrr...whoa...okay, let me clear some things up.

2nd Gen Z24's do not have fog lights. They have very distinct side skirts, air dam, rear bumper (with exhaust tips), and a cowl induction hood (think hood scoops, but facing the other direction)

They came with a 3.1MPFI motor (140HP, 185ft/lb tq(and before someone corrects me on that number, double check, 185 in 93-94, 180 1990-92))

The same motor was an option on the RS. You will, however, notice the RS has side-body moldings and often a pinstripe kinda thing along the moldings and bumper. Look for "3.1Multi-Port FI" on the fender. If its not there then either its been removed or its an I4.

The VL had no moldings and was only equipped with the 2.2 I4.

Finally, the RS and VL came in 2 or 4 door. The Z24 was 2-door only. RS and Z24 had convertible options. No hatchbacks. If memory serves they still did limited numbers of Cav Wagons, which came in VL or RS flavors (with the side moldings being the most visible difference) and all had the 3.1.

Any more questions?
