Re: Service Required Light

It is probably the same as other Hondas.

Turn key to on position (ENGINE NOT RUNNING!)

Press and hold trip meter button.

Watch miles going down to zero.

I hope it works for you,

Sam

Re: Service Required Light

Hi Sam,

I'm sorry to report this procedure doesn't seem to work on my 2003 Accord.

Thanks for trying to help me.

Re: Service Required Light

why was the light on in the first place? not sure if your radio needs a code to work... but you can try un plugging your battery for about 10 mins.. this will reset the ecu (and everything else) so youll lose your presets and what not.. or you can just bring it somewhere and have them reset it. should charge you much if anything to do it.

Re: Service Required Light

hello if it has an antitheft radio you will just have alot of problems that you dont need to turn off light go to autozone get a code scanner or if you know someone who has one thats how u professionally turn it off note if u disconnect battery then if you go to smog it you will definitely fail. work smarter not harder

Re: Service Required Light

another old thread, dont bring up dead threads, its against the forum rules, and i suggested he bring it somewhere to get the code read, but discinnecting the battery shouldnt make you fail smog, it would be no differant than someone's alt dying and the battery draing to nothing
