dizzy for ZC?

a friend has a 92 civic hatch, and he just put in a ZC. but the ZC dizzy won't fire.

he spliced the wires for obd1, and when that didn't work, he switched the 2 white wires in the harness, stil nothing. so we are thinking hte dizzy is dead.

anyways, we're trying to find a dizzy from another car that will work.....casue none of the salvage yards around here have any ZCs in them.....anyone know of one that will work? all the civic and tegs we've tried are different mounting points.

btw, he can manually hold his original dizzy in place and it will crank.

Re: dizzy for ZC?

double.

his brother got his a SOHC dizzy yesterday, but it won't fit in all the way. the base is bigger than the tip. on the part that connects to the engine...whatever that part is called.

Re: dizzy for ZC?

I had the same problem with my dohc zc swap into my crx. On mine it was a 92 zc i had to use my d16 dizzy and it worked fine. Just had to mickey mouse the wiring and the three bolts that hold it into place.
