2000 Grand Cherokee Limited won't start

My car ran perfectly earlier in the day, but now it won't start. It doesn't even try to turn over. At first I thought the battery was dead, but I am getting power in some parts of the car.

The keyless entry won't work and the guages are going crazy. They are bouncing all over the place even when the keys are not in the ignition. Has anyone else heard of something like this? If so, do you know what might be wrong?
