95 grand am se

i have a 95 GA se 4 cyl. im trying to change the spark plugs, i know where they are, but there is a bar over the top of them, i dont know what the bar is, and i dont know how to get it off...

theres only 2 things that should be blocking the spark plugs. The first is the cover on top of the engine that says "Quad 4" on it. Theres 4 bolts holding that down that you need to take out. Once those are out, remove the top cover. This is where you will see the 2nd thing blocking you from the spark plugs. They are 4 small black plastic "tubes". Those are the boots. Take those off and the spark plugs are there.

I have no idea what this "bar" is that your talking about. Unless of course someone put a strut bar on your car???

yea i was looking at the wrong thing. i saw some caps that looked like the spark plug caps that were under this bar. but i figured it out. thatnk though
