Ok... let me do this one...

1) Search. This has gone over many times.

2) Use the subforums

3) Those parts will work, however, you need a lot more than just that. You need the fuel mods, some way to control everything, and all the right hoses, pipes, clamps, manifold... and so on. If it's a stock wastegate... no. Stock springs aren't good enough tobe able to get down to the lower range, which means an external wastegate will be needed.

4) Engine isn't built to handle 12 psi. 8psi tops. 5psi is a little more safer. The block will have to be built in order to attain that without blowing the engine up. Then, the clutch will more than likely need to be done also as it won't be able to hold the power.

There are many writeups, questions, and places to research this. It has been done many times all over the place. Very possible, however, not worth it in many peoples opinions. It will cost a lot if you plan on running high boost.

Depends on how much you want to put into it and how much of the work you can do yourself. You can buy a kit which will be pretty high, or build your own. I have about $2000 in mine so far but there has been alot of custom fabrication needed.

well i can do all the work my self, just need a little guidance. i build mini trucks and other wacky stuff for a living, but lets get past that, also a buddie of mine has a 95 turbo, but no motor, tranny, or turbo, i was going to use the computer, lines, and the other stuff i can get off it and end up using the 91 turbo and inter cooler? im sure it would work ? lol first turbo im dealing with, also what am i looking into motor wise? pistons, rods, cams???? sorry for the stupid questions guys

Re: Help!!!!! 95 Eagle Talon Non Turbo... Want To Convert To Turbo!!!

Keep the same ECU you have. The ECU out of a GSX/GST isn't going to work. Totally different setups.

Motor wise: everything. You'll need low compression pistons, some decent rods, bearings, everything. You'll have to get the block machined, honed, and taken care of.

The head will have to be rebuilt too for higher boost. Low boost applications it's ok to keep stock. But if you're running over 9psi, you want to do a rebuild on that also. Machine work, valves, cams, springs... again, everything.

You'll need a turbo manifold for the 420a. You should be able to find on for the 1st gen turbo, but it HAS to fit the 420a. Then you need to fabricate a downpipe possibly, get all the oil/water lines set up, and agian... all the fuel taken care of.
