Completed Model Factory Hiro Aston Martin

It looks like serious race car and Ive read it's very fast, but not not enough to consistently beat the Corvette. It took far longer than anticipated to complete this one and I doubled my usual number of oopses. The color is a match to the street version mixed by a local auto paint jobber, so it should be corrrect, but the pictures I've seen show a lighter green. I added a little detail to the interior, but this kit comes with plenty of details in the box. I built one other Hiro and the bodies are excellent, but they're budget busters.

Looks great, you did a good job. I think the colour you choose was spot on, it looked like an exact mix. I no what your saying about Budget busters, like 200 pounds for the kit or something.

What would i tell my parents, hey im buying a kit for $300 aus dollars they would puke lol. But there top notch models. Did you have some problems with the rear left wheel? sits quite far in...

Re: Completed Model Factory Hiro Aston Martin

Looks great! The interior especially.

I agree, the rear wheel on the left side of the model looks more inset than the other side. It kinda looks like the front and rear wheel should be switched on the left side of the car so it will look like the right.

Don't mean to be picky. Great work again!

Cheers, Rick

I didn't notice the wheel thing and have no idea why that happened, but it's a shelf model and the left side is the wall side, so no problem.

I know what you mean Anopanjo....... but If you check the currency conversion at the present exchange rate it gets even worse... like...

200.00 GBP

=

481.251 AUD

My wife is very tolerent and understanding of my modelbuilding and the costs involved, but even she would divorce me for spending that much on one kit...lol

Regards, Dan

The kit is $150, 110 Euros, or 75 Pounds, like the Saint said, because it's a curbside without an engine.

I whole heartedly agree on that one! I would love to build a Vantage too!!!

I guess it would be dumb to take an MFH and make it stock - waste of money.

Looks really beautiful, I love seeing these built!

Sensational job! That Aston Martin DBR9 green is a very tricky colour to pin down.
