I'll probably just bring it to a shop but this is embarassing. I just got done doing the intake manifold gasket on my suburban so am not a complete novice when it comes to cars. This thing kicked my butt.
Anyone have this happen - suggestions for quick fix? An oil pan runs over $200 with a gasket so I'd rather not go that route.

I had my drain plug round off on me before on my old lincoln town car that i used to have. i sprayed with plug with some PB Blaster and let it soak for awhile, then got a pair of vice grips that you can tighen up and easily applied some force to loosen up the plug. i tried my best not to round it off any more than it already was and then finally, it busted loose and i gently took it out with the vice grips. Not an easy job, but with some patience it came loose.
If you want, once you get the vice grips tightened, try sliding an old pipe over the handles of the vice grips to get some extra torque. Its not an easy job, but hopefully you will be as lucky as I was.
