High carbon failure on a 92 cutlass supreme. Easiest cheapest way to fix? Maybe without an expensive diagnostic test?

Re: emissions failure
Too much carbon monoxide making it through the converter. A new one of those is out of the question. Looking for a quicker cheaper fix to get passed the test. Heard 44k might help.

Re: emissions failure
Most likely a cheap aftermarket cat replacement is going to be the only way here. Make sure the car is good and warmed up before the test, also.

Re: emissions failure
Change your spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and clean the throttle body.
Then, fill up your gas tank and put some fuel system cleaner in there. Short of that, you'll have to change the cat. |
