Supercharger Pulley Removal

So I'm going to buy a smaller pulley, i just want to know one thing.. is it possible to take the stock pulley off without buying or renting the special puller tool like they have on zzp that is 35 dollars to rent and over 100 to buy. I don't care about protecting the stock pulley, because i'm getting the modular pulley system. I just would like to know if taking it off without the special tool will damage anything else besides the pulley such as the shaft.

Re: Supercharger Pulley Removal

you have to have a puller and it appears it has to be designed for our engines, the only way around it is buying a snout with the pulley that you want already in place, and exchanging your snout out for it, which is more work than using the puller, I ended up buying one, but rental is the cheapest route...
