state police warning

i hate reposting but this might be important:

"
State police warning for online: Please read this "very carefully"..then send it out to all the people online that you know. Something like this is nothing to be taken casually; this is something you DO want to pay attention to.

If a person with the screen-name of imahustlababay or http://www.myspace.com/ineedatipdrill contacts you, do not reply. DO NOT talk to this person; do not answer any of his/her instant messages or e-mail. Whoever this person may be, he/she is a suspect for murder in the death of 56 women (so far) contacted through the Internet. Please send this to all the women on your buddy list and ask them to pass this on, as well.

This screen-name was seen on Yahoo, AOL, AIM, and Excite so far. This is not a joke! Please send this to men too...just in case! Send to everyone you know!
Ladies, this is serious.
Gentlemen, PLEASE let your Lady Friends know....

IF WE CAN PASS ON JOKES, SURELY WE CAN PASS ON A WARNING THAT MAY SAVE A LIFE

Please repost

Re: state police warning

Until theres proof, something like this is baseless and slander towards somebody you don't know and have never met. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty. Stop reposting Myspace bulletins on here, this was probably just made up by some ex-girlfriend who got pissed and wanted to make this guy look like a rapist.

Good point; let's see if we can come up with some independent verification on this.

mr_mushroom, where DID you get this, and can you corroborate the story?

Re: state police warning

Myspace. This has been reposted so many times. Heck, it was on here way sometime ago with a different s/n and all.

How can people take this stuff as real though? All this junk that goes up and sure some mmight be real but to not even spend a couple or mins checking MSNBC, CNN< or anything to see. There was no link from him or int he bulletin itself so you'd think someone call bogus immediately.

Besides, there hasn't been a serial kille rof the magnitude in forever and a day plus this would over the news more than the OJ trial.

Re: state police warning

lol you would think a serial killer who has kileed 56 women that he has met online would be all over the news, but apparently its not.

This just in, a man on Automotiveforums.com with the screen name mr mushroom is high wanted by the DEA for selling huge amounts of mushrooms to young elementary students. So far 219 children ranging from age 8-12 have been hospitalized due to this man. If you see him please contact your local forum moderator at once.

Re: state police warning

Yeah, it's a bullshit story. It was started back in 2000. It has thrived due to people unwittingly reposting it all over the internet.

Re: state police warning

It's a true story, they found a bunch of dead women in barrels at this guys house. But the killer was caught and sentenced to death in 2003. And I think it was something like 5 or 10 women, not 56.

The email was never a true story. It was a story with bits of the truth mixed in. It wasn't a warning from state police. He didn't kill 56 women, it was 5 and he was suspected of killing 6 more. He was in custody when the email was started in june 2000, so he wasn't a threat when it was being circulated. Since then the story has continued to circulate with the name constantly changing (changing the name removed any bit of the truth the story ever had).

No excuses necessary - you haven't lost any credibility.
