was grey cloth now black vinyl patern matches factory pattern..had to look long and hard for such a patern. Anywho , works well , cheap , easy and boosts some visual points for the URL XD

Not a difficult project but time consuming to smooth out the wrinkles which I still have to do.

I bet if you did a thorough write-up of the process it would help people out in the future who are unsure of exactly what they need to do.

If it's good enough, you may even get a mod to sticky it...

Well I did it in such a way that it wouldn't peel later down the road.

Anywho , It costs about 8.99 a yard ,just need two yards @ 54"s wide so you have enough to work with and have a little extra incase of mistakes.
You need something like a razor knife to cut it because anything else sucks as its vinyl.

I cleaned the headliner fabric , drilled some tiny holes through the headliner piece to give it a spot for the adhesives to go instead of just in between, I used a fiber glass resin and strengthened it up about 50% , heated the vinyl up by laying it out across the cement in my parking lot under the 90 degreen sun for about an hour so it molds like clay.

Afterall of that I used a shock absorbing silicone , something with some serious sticky but could still be worked with once setup began. Lay out your stuff and try to center it or else if you make a booboo you wont have a lot left to work with and may not be able to disguise it.

Make the incisions for the sun visor, overhead lamps , sunroof if applicable XD , and press press press then leave out for about an hour. Mine looked like it have a ton of wrinkles at the begining in the first 10 minutes but today it smoothed itself out with all the stretching I did to it yesterday which makes my life much better.

When you go to remove and replace headliners..it's a pain without taking ALL the paneling pieces off that go over it so I'd suggest removing the grey panel for the 1/4 window as well or you may end up jacking up the strength or the headliner and create a weak point where it may hang.

I did a buddy's headliner in black vinyl, if you take your time, it can turn out good as yours did. Good work homie.
