1999 jeep grand cherokee factory infinity amp?
Hi everyone,
I am trying to find out what or how the front door speakers are crossed over at as well as the dash mounted speakers. I am also wondering since the total system output is close to 180 watts what the wattage per driver is? I have emailed infinity, talked to my local dealership, and gotton no where. Someone has to know what the specs are if anyone knows anything or who I may be able to contact to find out I will be more than greatful! Thanks, Joe |

Re: 1999 jeep grand cherokee factory infinity amp?
The dash speakers are not crossed over, nor are the rear door.
The front door speakers are crossed over at the head unit or the speaker, that's why they sound muffled by themselves. The Infinity amps rating is closer to true RMS than most aftermarket amps. Wattage per driver-- divide by six? Technical information on the Infinity system is pretty sparse. Using an audio analyzer would be the only way to get real info. Good luck getting info from Infinity. |

Re: 1999 jeep grand cherokee factory infinity amp?
Thanks for the help.
My other question then is why is it that there are front and rear speaker wires in total of 4 going from the head unit to the amp and from the amp to the actual speakers of 6. I thought that would indicate thay they were xover or is it that its just 2 4 ohm loads and the front are spit into 2 ohms for the front doors and 2 ohms for the dash tweeters to create a 4 ohm load? Thanks again for everything, Joe
